Are you the foreign hitter who was rumored to be kicked out? After the manager's interview, 5G batting average of 0.591, 6 home runs, and 15 RBIs

As of Tuesday, Samsung's foreign hitter Lewin Diaz is ranking almost atop in major batting records. He is leading in four categories: No. 1 in home runs (11), No. 1 in RBIs (30), No. 1 in hits (37 hits), and No. 1 in slugging (0.681).스포츠토토

Until the beginning of the season, Diaz was one of Samsung's concerns.

In the opening two consecutive games against Kiwoom, he had five hits in nine at-bats for two home runs, but his bat suddenly became weak. He had only one hit in the three consecutive games against NC Dinos on March 25-27, and was excluded from the starting lineup against Doosan on March 29. Samsung manager Park Jin-man said he was trying to adjust his condition, but he was worried about Diaz's poor performance. Diaz's March performance remained at 0.226 for eight games.

Diaz failed to boost his batting performance until early April. For Samsung, the "nightmare of foreign hitters" had to come to mind again.

Samsung replaced foreign batters twice last year. It sent David MacKinnon, who rarely produces long balls, to the Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, which is home run friendly, after the end of the first half, and hired Ruben Cardinez (currently Kiwoom, then registered as Cadenas) as a new foreign hitter. Cardinez wanted to solve his team's long balls, but he was hurt. Amid the controversy, Samsung decided to make the switch once again. It turned to the Mexican league and looked for an alternative foreign hitter, opting for Diaz. It was dramatically registered on Aug. 15, the final deadline for a new foreign player to participate in the postseason.

For Samsung, writing all replacement cards to foreign hitters and recruiting hitters with no outstanding major league experience were both "adventures."

Fortunately, Diaz changed all the question marks into exclamation marks. Diaz, who contributed to his team's advance to the playoffs by batting .282 with seven homers and 19 RBIs in 29 games during the regular season, hit hard with a batting average of 0.357 with three homers and six RBIs in four games during the playoffs. He also boasted his batting average of 0.359 with two homers and four RBIs in five games during the Korean Series. He also renewed his contract after finishing the fall baseball league.

Samsung, which had trauma from foreign hitters last year, is inevitably anxious about Diaz's sluggish performance early this season.

Diaz also felt anxious. During the interview, Samsung coach Park Jin-man told Diaz to "let go of his greed for home runs," and Diaz started to lose weight. As a result, he became lighter and the bat became heavier again. Diaz is showing off his performance that he showed last year.

Samsung is the team of batting. As of Tuesday, it has ranked first in the batting average (0.285) and first in homers (38 homers) in its team, forming a competitive group for the top spot. It has won five consecutive games from the game against KIA on Sunday to the game against NC on Sunday. During the period, Diaz posted a whopping 0.591 batting average of six homers and 15 RBIs in five games. For now, he should let go of his worries about foreign hitters.
